GOD DOES NOT LIE

Theremnant21

Remember, God does not lie. He is obligated by His own word to fulfill it. In reference to the end days He says, “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (II Thess. 2:9-12) That delusion has come because of their willful ignorance and blatant disregard for the truth. Before God can allow the Enemy to bring anyone into a strong delusion, they must have first been given the opportunity to reject the love of the truth.

The Holy Spirit keeps us calm and guides us through the perilous times as we move toward the Devil’s impending judgment. The Lord God has spoken. Those things foretold in the Book of Revelation and by the Prophet Daniel along with the many other biblical, end days references are being fulfilled. “And yet, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.” (Rom. 8:37). Covered by His love and persuaded that nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord,” (Rom. 8:38a & 39b), we do not faint or grow weary in what He told us to do; preach the Gospel, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons.

As ambassadors on behalf of the Kingdom of God we come in humility, as servants of the Most High God. There is no greater conquering or privilege or promise of greatness or fulfillment than this, to know that we are HIS. We remain safe in the shelter of His steadfast faithfulness as we continue, convinced of His love. Tested and triumphant, we stand in loyal adherence to the promises of God who is faithful to keep us as we are engaged in the spiritual battles that rage all around us.

He does not want us to surrender to fear, even as He does not want us to be ignorant of the trouble which comes against us. Paul wrote to the soldiers at Corinth, “we are burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in our selves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,” (I Cor. 1:8-10).

God told Elijah the Prophet who confronted the 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel (I Ki. 18:19) and the 400 prophets of Asherah who ate at Jezebel’s table, that there are still 7,000 men who had not bowed the knee to Baal, (Rom. 11:4). There were still 7,000 men who remained faithful to the God of Abraham. God referenced this group to establish the revelation of the identity of a new remnant who had chosen to walk with God according to the election of grace. “Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” (Rom. 11:5) This new remnant would be distinguished from the others who had attempted to obtain their righteousness through the law. The Remnant had elected to receive their righteousness based on the merit of Christ and not themselves.

The Remnant are those who have chosen to walk in the counsel of the Holy Spirit and not follow their own minds or aspirations. The Apostle Peter begs us to remember that we are pilgrims, and that we “abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,” (I Pet. 2:11). The Remnant are pilgrim, soldiers, sons and daughters, faithful ones who have exchanged the use of their old “soul software” that operated in their flesh for the new upgrade of “walking in the Spirit” (Gal. 5:16). “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” (Gal. 17).
