The Antichrist Is Coming

“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now, many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” (I Jo. 2:18) “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.” (I Jo. 2:20).

 
As sons and soldiers of the cross, we must continue the discussion we opened in our last letters. In the end days deceivers will come. It is the first warning Jesus gave us in Matthew 24:24 when asked about the last days. He nails it. “For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, event he elect. See, I have old you beforehand. Therefore, if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’, do not believe it.” (Mt. 24:24-26).

 
How much more straight forward and clear can He be? Could the problem be that we just do not want the truth, or have become so conditioned to believe that we need someone else to help us discern the deception(s) of the last days and identify the false prophets and antichrists that we have left the back door open to being deceived by the very ones we have looked to to protect us from deception? Indeed, we have been deceived into believing the lie that we are not qualified to discern these grave and serious matters for ourselves.

 
We are so used to running to the ‘experts’, the professionals, the specialists, the gurus, the doctors, conferences, speakers, self proclaimed prophets and healers, preachers and proclaimers of this and that, and listening to the endless jabbering and blabbering of the talk–shows, that we have lost our confidence in the truth of God’s Word or our ability to know, and recognize it. Even our ‘christian’ radio and TV networks are so filled with a mixture of truth and error it is like trying to eat your lunch out of a garbage can without getting the E-coli virus. No wonder most believers do not believe any more and live with a constant stomachache.

 
We have been brainwashed by the world and even the church, or what we all have been calling the church, into a syndrome we can call PDD, (passive, double-minded dormancy). The symptoms of this syndrome leave the victim living the life of a victim, helpless, apathetic, confused, feeling manipulated, angry, self-defeated, and wondering endlessly about their salvation, obsessed with religious activities and prone to serious deception.

 
We have been deliberately “dumbed down into believing we are dumb”, for various reasons, (the most apparent of which are money and greed), because we do not believe the Word of God. ‘I don’t know’ and ‘what do you think’ and how do you feel’ have filled our minds and mouths until we are afraid to speak up for the truth that God said already resides and resonates within us, placed there by His Holy Spirit.

 
John says it clearly. “These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teaches you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it ahs taught you, you will abide in Him.” (I Jo. 2:26–27). “I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.”( I Jo. 2:21”.

 
This does not mean we are unteachable, but that The LORD Himself has given us the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. That same Holy Spirit abides within us. Even as we are created by God, in His image, to reflect His character and goodness, our spirit resonates with Him. The revelation of Jesus Christ and His love brings rests and freedom from anxiety. His truth bears witness with our spirit that we are His. In Him are wisdom and truth and contentment. In Him there is freedom from condemnation, to those who walk not according to the flesh, (soul), but according to the Spirit, (Rom. 8:1).

 
It is now or never! If you do not speak, many antichrists and angels of light including satan’s ministers of ‘righteousness’ will fill the minds and hearts of the vulnerable and the untaught. Satan is spewing his filth, covering it up with gold and smothering it in the truth to make it desirable and palatable.

 
“Do not be deceived, the truth is in the fruit.” The lie may be buried deep in the unseen earth of hidden motives and secret meetings, but the fruit will always tell the truth. Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?…”therefore, by their fruits you will know them.” (Matt. 7:15-16 &20).

 
PRAYER:

Even as you have spoken, Lord, it is so. The enemy has filled the camp of your people with deception and the pursuit of vanity. Deliver us from the evil one and lead us out of temptation, including the temptation to believe we do not know the truth that already has been placed within us. teach us to walk in Your Spirit and discern truth according to Your will. Amen.

If the truth is already within us, why are we so often confused and uncertain and easily tricked by the wolves in sheep’s clothing?
