THE ANXIETY TRAP

Are you fearful and anxious over what is happening to our country and in the world? If you waver in your faith you are caught in the battle between your soul, run by the old “body of death” (Rom. 7) software and your spirit run by truth. Being tossed back and forth creates anxiety. “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.” (Pr. 12:25) The cure for fear, worry and anxiety is to stand and having done all, to stand. (Eph.6:13-14)

Satan would ask the question, “but have I done enough?” His recommendations to our life are always designed to create doubt and fear in our souls. Whatever you did or did not do, Jesus did enough for all of us – to be saved and walk in righteousness, not our own, but HIS. (Of course, you must agree with His death as being the substitute for your own and the payment for the penalty of sin.)

The cure for worry and fear and anxiety to stay wrapped up in the pages of God’s Word, standing in the truth of God’s word, KNOWING God does not lie and that He can be trusted because he CANNOT lie! Do you hear your mouth say, “I need to trust God more?” – Then you are hearing the voice of the liar speaking fear into your soul. He is speaking his very words into your mind and through YOUR mouth!

You do not need to do more, to try to trust God more, because you already KNOW what He says is true because you were already built by God to trust HIM. Knowing that you know the truth already is the secret to peace. God cannot lie and He cannot not be Good! What do you know? “Does God lie?” Of course He does not lie. See you already KNOW that.

Again, wrap yourself up in the pages of God’s Word and read it. What does God say?
“The root of the righteous cannot be moved.” (Pr. 12:3)
“The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand.” (Pr. 12:7)
“The righteous will come through trouble,” (Pr.12:13)
“In the way of righteousness is life and in its pathway there is no death.”(Pr.12:28)

God is refining His people and bring us through a spiritual birth canal where fear and weakness are being “squeezed” out of us to prepare us to be born – to come into the light and be named as the sons and daughters of the Most High. This wickedness we see all around us and among us must be exposed so that all of us, everyone, those who are doing the evil and those who are being hurt by the evil, will have an opportunity to move to the side they want to be on. The division is for the purpose of separation of those who are righteous from those who are unrighteous.

The deception and disinformation and confusion are deliberate on the part of the Evil One to cause us to make excuses and hesitate in taking a stand for life and goodness and God’s truth. Remember the first thing Jesus said in warning us about His return was “Do not be DECEIVED!” “Take heed that no one deceives you.” (Mt.24:4) Amen!!
